The Emergent Art Grant supplies artists in the beginning of their careers with unrestricted cash funds. Grants are given quarterly to those that show a high potential for growth and an overall successful art career.
Eligibility
All artists within the first ten years of their creative career are welcome to apply, and all creative media types will be considered. Whether your a painter, poet, dancer, or DJ, you have a spot here at The Emergent Art Grant.
Our goal…
…is to help artists of all kinds to continue sharing their creative talents with the world. Maybe you’re slogging it in a corporate job, pining for the day where you can turn in your punch card for a paintbrush. Or maybe your bank account is starting to look a little tragic after paying a subscription for that creative software you’ve been dying to try. You know the one. Whatever your story, we want to make your life a little easier, to help keep creating art one of your top priorities.
The Application Process
Answer a few questions and pay a $25 application fee to be considered to receive one of our quarterly $1000 grants. Once you submit your materials for consideration, our team will look through all of the applications to determine our finalists. Once finalists are notified, their applications will be reviewed once more to determine that quarter’s grantee(s). The number of grants each quarter will be determined by the amount of funding we’ve received, but will always be at least one.
Finalists and grantee(s) will be chosen based on each applicant’s existing artistic merit and their potential for growth within their respective field.
Timeline:
June 1st: Applications are released to the public.
June 30th: Applications close.
July 1st - 15th: Submitted applications are reviewed and finalists are notified.
July 16th - 22nd: Finalist applications are re-reviewed and that quarter’s grantee(s) are chosen.
July 23rd: Grantee(s) are notified!
